Beijing Double Happiness Courtyard Hotel

This hotel is located in a traditional Hutong area down a narrow alleyway, which gives it a unique charm and a non-touristy atmosphere. Despite its secluded location, it is still conveniently close to the Dongsi subway station, making it easy to explore the city. The rooms are beautifully furnished and comfortable, with exquisite decor and a warm and friendly reception staff. The breakfast offers a great selection of dishes and the staff are attentive and caring.

The staff at this hotel were friendly and helpful. They were fluent in English and went out of their way to assist me with everything, including giving directions to taxi drivers and helping me plan my short stay in the city. The hotel itself had a unique and authentic Chinese style, with spacious and clean rooms. The location was convenient, being close to a handy subway station and the main tourist spots. The breakfast offered a variety of choices, with dishes from Chinese, American, and European cuisines. the staff, cleanliness, hotel facilities, and transportation options were excellent.

Absolutely loved my weekend getaway in Beijing! The hotel was such a unique and comfortable experience. The atmosphere was so relaxing, I wish I could have stayed longer. The breakfast offered a great variety of delicious options and the restaurant served high-quality meals. The location was perfect, within walking distance of major places of interest and close to a metro station.

One downside was that it was a bit difficult to get taxis to come to the hotel for pickups due to the narrow streets. the hotel staff were willing to help arrange taxis for an extra fee.

The service here was great; they had room service, car hire, and even dry cleaning. Plus, we had access to a bicycle hire, bell staff/porter, and housekeeping. There were shops and commercial services nearby, and if we needed anything, the staff was ready to help. The amenities in the rooms were impressive, ranging from tea and coffee facilities to a flat-screen tv. The best part was how friendly everyone was, always assisting us with tours/ticket assistance or happy hour.

I stayed in a cozy hutong hotel in the heart of Beijing. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the subway station and surrounded by traditional shops and attractions. The staff were incredibly helpful and spoke excellent English. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, with beautiful courtyards and a lovely garden. The breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of facilities available for a comfortable stay.

The bathroom had some issues with the toilet and shower, which caused inconvenience during my stay.

As a light sleeper, I appreciated the peaceful atmosphere of the hotel. The rooms were quiet and provided a comfortable and undisturbed sleep.

We had the most good experience at Double Happiness Courtyard! The hotel's location in the heart of a historic hutong made us feel like we were living in Beijing. We loved exploring the local shops, walking to the nearby subway station, and visiting the Lama Temple. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated with interesting historic memorabilia. Our room, decorated in traditional Chinese style, was cozy and warm, perfect for the drop in temperature. The staff, especially Jaclyn, Alice, and Happy, were helpful and made our stay more fun. The breakfast was excellent, offering a buffet of delicious choices. We even received a gift of tea upon our departure! I highly recommend this hidden gem of a hotel.
